Diarmuid O'Carroll makes move from Glenavon to Cliftonville
Cliftonville have signed Diarmuid O'Carroll from Glenavon after the striker completed a successful medical on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old, whose previous clubs include Morecambe and Airdrie United, joined Glenavon in January 2010.
"It is a brilliant move for me and I'm delighted to have everything finalised," said O'Carroll.
"It's ideal for me really because I live locally and my fiance's family are all Cliftonville fans."
"Cliftonville are a massive attraction to any player and, once I heard they were interested, it was an opportunity I knew I couldn't turn down," O'Carroll told the club website.
The forward rejected a new contract at Mourneview Park in favour of a move to Solitude.
O'Carroll's senior career started at Celtic, while he scored four goals in 10 league appearances during a brief spell with Valur in the Icelandic top division.
O'Carroll fills the void left by the departure of teenage striker Rory Donnelly to Swansea City.
