Lincoln City have confirmed defender Danny Hone will continue his loan spell with Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Barrow until the end of the season.
Hone, 22, joined the Bluebirds on an initial emergency loan basis in November, and has since made seven appearances for the Holker Street club.
"Danny is going to join Barrow for the rest of the season," Imps boss David Holdsworth told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"We really do wish him well. He's been a really good professional person."
Holdsworth took over as Lincoln boss in October, succeeding Steve Tilson - under whom Hone had made nine starts.
"When you walk through a door, and there are a number of players who have suffered a disappointment at a football club, sometimes the best thing they can do is go out and play football," Holdsworth said.
"For me there were a dozen of those at the club who had lost their way, some more so than Danny, because he's a wholehearted boy.
"But he's benefited from going there [to Barrow] and playing football which is the most important thing at his time of his career."
