Plymouth Argyle have re-signed striker Nick Chadwick on a free transfer from Stockport County.
The 29-year-old has signed at Home Park until the summer of 2013.
"We've worked hard to get him here - there have been a lot of backwards and forwards negotiations - but it's a good day for everyone involved," said manager Carl Fletcher.
Chadwick has scored three goals in six games since returning to Home Park on loan, including a goal in his first game, as the Pilgrims beat relegation rivals Northampton Town 4-1.
He scored 10 goals in 83 appearances during his first spell at Argyle before leaving for Hereford on a free transfer in 2008.
"I'm delighted to have signed," Chadwick, who had spells with Shrewsbury, Chester and Barrow before joining Stockport, said.
"When I first came back, I said I would see how it goes and it's gone really well.
"I'm delighted the club has been able to facilitate me and my family coming down.
Chadwick holds the record for the fastest ever goal scored by an Argyle player, his goal coming after just 11.83 seconds in a Championship match with Crystal Palace in December 2005.
