Accrington 0-3 Barnet

Barnet aided their survival hopes with a superb win at in-form Accrington.

The Bees dominated the opening stages and got their reward when Ricky Holmes fired low into the net.

Craig Lindfield then had an excellent opportunity for the hosts, but his effort from six yards out missed the target.

Barnet took full advantage soon after, as Mark Marshall's pinpoint free-kick found Mark Hughes to head home, before Sam Deering rifled in a stunning drive.

Prior to this game, Accrington had been unbeaten in their previous 10 league games, winning seven of those.

Barnet manager Lawrie Sanchez told BBC London 94.9:

"Their shouldn't have been a game on if truth be told, we came we turned up but the pitch was frozen. There was something wrong with it and that was quite evident.

"But we got away with it, they have lost their record because of it, and we have played outstandingly well and have controlled the game and won it fairly comfortably.

"We had the ability today, it probably wasn't our best performance, but it was our most professional performance of the season."
