Tunisia's Issam Jemaa resumes training for Nations Cup
Tunisia's top scorer Issam Jemaa has returned to training as the Carthage Eagles prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The striker is a key part of the Carthage Eagles squad and coach Sami Trabelsi has delayed naming his final squad to give him a chance to recover.
He missed Tunisia's routine 3-0 win over fellow Nations Cup finalists Sudan in Dubai on Monday.
Jemaa took part in Tunisia's training session on Tuesday.
However Majdi Traoui was unable to complete the training session due to an unspecified injury.
Tunisia were much the better team in their game against Sudan, who were down to 10 men for much of the match.
Saber Khelifa opened the scoring in the 12th minute, heading home Zouhaier Dhaouadi's free-kick.
Midway through the second half Dhaouadi himself made it onto the scoresheet, with a stunning strike from 20 metres out - completed with his less-favoured right foot.
The final goal came from Amine Chermiti who was able to tap home a cross from Traoui.
It was a strong performance from Tunisia, even though coach Trabelsi used 19 players in the match.
Sudan looked much less comfortable and clearly have work to do before the start of their campaign in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
Tunisia will play another friendly on Friday in Dubai against Nations Cup favourites Ivory Coast.
The Sudanese are in Group B, along with Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Angola.
Tunisia will face their old rivals Morocco plus co-hosts Gabon and Niger in Group C of the competition.
