Tranmere 0-0 Rochdale

Tranmere failed to win for a fourth consecutive game as they played out a goalless draw with struggling Rochdale.

Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro shaved the outside of a post for Dale early on before Paul Rachubka prevented a Gary Jones effort finding the net.

Jason Kennedy's strike was cleared off the line by Rovers defender David Buchanan after the break.

Joss Labadie saw a free-kick hit a post and Cole Stockton's goal-bound shot was blocked as Rochdale held on.

Dale, who are 22nd in the table, have now failed to win in their last eight League One matches.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Tranmere manager Les Parry told BBC Radio Merseyside:

Parry bemoans Tranmere finishing

"I speak to a lot of people in the game and they have a lot of respect for what we're doing here, so we know we're going about our jobs right.

"Our first aim is to stay in this division, and to be quite honest, if we stay in this division that's a massive achievement.

"That's something that a lot of the big managers wouldn't be able to do."
