Jersey Scottish have increased their lead at the top of the island's Premiership after a 2-0 win over Rozel Rovers at Springfield on Tuesday.

Former Southampton youngster Jack Boyle opened the scoring and Stephen McCarter got the second for the Scots.

Scottish are now four points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand over second-placed St Peter.

Unbeaten Scottish go to St Peter on Saturday in a game which could go a long way to deciding the 2011-12 title.

Rozel Rovers stay fifth in the table after the defeat.
