Jamie Ward warns against Derby slip-up against Coventry
Derby County striker Jamie Ward says even a slight dip in performance levels at home to lowly Coventry on Saturday is likely to lead to a slip-up.
The Rams have won four games in a row, including Championship victories over Leeds United, West Ham and Hull City.
Ward told BBC Radio Derby: "We have beaten three contenders in the league and Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.
"This is where we have to concentrate and focus now. The fans expect an easy win but football isn't like that."
Derby's recent resurgence follows a miserable run which had mirrored last season's campaign.
But, unlike last term, the Rams have responded to their mini-slump which saw them drop of the running for an automatic promotion spot and have started to find form again.
Ward, 25, said avoiding any complacency is crucial: "This league you can beat anyone. It is so strange it's unbelievable. There is always a coupon buster every week."
