York City manager Gary Mills has emphasised an FA Trophy appearance at Wembley this season would mean a huge amount to both the club and himself.

York face Salisbury City in the second round of the competition and he said reaching the final is one of his aims for the season.

Mills told BBC Radio York: "I've stated all along that Wembley is massive for me this season.

"The FA Trophy is a great opportunity for our football club."

He continued: "We disappointed when we went out at Wrexham in the FA Cup, not that we were going to get to Wembley in that but we wanted to do well in it.

"We're not taking Salisbury lightly.

"They've done well in the FA Cup, knocked out by Sheffield United after beating Grimsby on their ground, so I think that tells you something about how difficult the game is going to be.

"Again, its about our mindset. It's about going down there and preparing right. We'll be ready."
