League Two strugglers Plymouth Argyle have extended the loan spell of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Ashley Hemmings until the end of the season.

Hemmings, 20, joined Argyle on loan in November and has scored two goals in seven appearances.

He scored on his debut for Argyle in the 4-1 win over Northampton.

The former England Under-17 international has had loan spells at Torquay United and Cheltenham Town in the last two seasons.

Hemmings's extension comes as Argyle increase the size of their squad over January.

The club signed former captain Paul Wotton on Thursday and have brought in Joe Lennox, Max Blanchard, Darren Purse and Nick Chadwick on permanent deals this month.
