Darius Charles came off the bench to score a late equaliser for managerless Stevenage against Scunthorpe.
The home side dominated the first half with Josh Walker forcing a fingertip save from Chris Day with a shot from the edge of the area.
Garry Thompson put Scunthorpe ahead after racing away from the visiting defence and slotting past Day.
Charles rescued a point for the visitors though, squeezing a close-range shot past Sam Slocombe late on.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Scunthorpe United manager Alan Knill told BBC Radio Humberside:
"We're playing fairly well and I think we're better and getting better, but it's the fine lines that are costing us at the moment.
"Score a great goal at a great time then concede a poor goal, so that's what's costing us.
"I think we're playing better and, when you look at our squad with what we've got to chose from at the moment, it's pretty thin."
