Aldershot 0-0 Accrington

Aldershot's goalless run extended to six games as they were forced to settle for a point against Accrington.

Peter Vincenti should have put the Shots ahead but he saw his effort crash off the crossbar.

Charlie Henry looked lively but his dipping cross was saved by goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin, while his deflected shot rolled just wide.

Accrington's best chance came from Michael Smith but his toe-poke was collected by keeper Ross Worner.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth told BBC Surrey:

"I was extremely delighted with the first-half performance. I thought we were fantastic. We just needed that extra bit of fine-tuning.

"The number of chances is good, the clean sheet is good, and I've told them keep on playing like that and the chances will keep coming.

"At the moment I'm feeling a bit sorry for them and they deserve a bit more than they're getting. We just need that bit of nous in front of goal."
