York City manager Gary Mills was delighted with his side after their 6-2 win at Salisbury in the FA Trophy second round.

Four unanswered goals from Matty Blair (2), Jamie Reed and Patrick McLaughlin put the game beyond Salisbury in the first half.

Mills told BBC Radio York: "We moved the ball well and we took our chances and scored six goals away from home.

"York City are in the next round and we look forward to a good draw."

We took our chances - Mills

Jake Reed scored for the home side before Matthew Blinkhorn got the fifth of the game for York on his debut.

Reed then added a penalty for Salisbury but that was cancelled out by McLaughlin's second of the game.

Mills continued: "I thought it was an excellent performance.

"We've come away from home at a difficult time for us but Matty's come up with two goals again and the second one particularly was a great finish.

"The disappointing thing was conceding a sloppy one before half time.

"But we're through to the next round. I've stated all along I want to take this club to Wembley."
