Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver has praised the character shown by his side in their 4-3 win at Bishop's Stortford.
Jonny Allan's second goal for Harrogate proved the winner after Bishop's Stortford equalised on three occasions.
Weaver told BBC Radio York: "They're the in-form team in this league.
"To come and get a 4-3 win when we've had a difficult spell and they're on the up is testament to the character of the lads today."
An own goal from Ali Abdullahi put Harrogate Town ahead before Reece Prestedge got the first equaliser of the game.
Paul Brayson gave Harrogate Town the advantage again only for Dwight Gale to cancel that out with a penalty.
A second from Gale made it 3-3 following the first from Allan who then went on to score what proved to the winner 17 minutes from the end.
Weaver said: "From the off, I thought we had a stronger team.
"We were in their half for the majority of the game and we just made it difficult for ourselves by conceding those three sloppy goals.
"But every time we conceded we bounced back. There's new character and new attitude in our team.
"With the new signings we made recently, they've all made a positive impact on the team and made us more solid and more gritty."
