Adam Le Fondre hopes for Reading chance
Reading striker Adam Le Fondre is hoping his goal against Watford leads to a recall to the starting line-up for the game against Hull this Saturday.
Le Fondre produced a superb second-half finish to seal three points at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
The 25-year-old is competing for a place with Simon Church and Noel Hunt.
"It's great to come on and score the winner. I've just got to wait for the next chance and show I can take it," Le Fondre told BBC Radio Berkshire.
Reading's 2-1 victory saw Brian McDermott's side recover from two successive defeats.
"It was an important week for us and we needed to bounce back from the two defeats we've had. The win keeps us in the play-offs," said Le Fondre.
"It's great to be fifth, hopefully we can push on and go on another little run."
Le Fondre's goal was his 10th this season, but first since 29 November.
"I think it was my first touch and I've been waiting for a chance like that," he added.
"It was a typical poacher's goal and that's what I'm about really. We've come from behind to get a victory and we're delighted with that."
