Tottenham have agreed a deal with Italian Serie A side Juventus for the permanent signing of 22-year-old Spanish midfielder Yago Falque.
However, he will now join Southampton on loan for the rest of this season.
The Spain Under-21 international, who has been on loan from the Turin side since last summer, has made six appearances so far this season.
Five of those outings came in Spurs' Europa League campaign, which they exited in the group stages.
Falque started his career at Spanish giants Barcelona, before moving to Juventus where he spent time on-loan at Bari and Villarreal B.
