Ryan Wallace's second-half strike gave 10-man East Fife victory against Scottish Second Divison bottom club Stirling Albion.
Darren Smith fired over as Stirling threatened early on and team-mate Lewis Bonar drew a save from Fifers goalkeepers Michael Brown minutes later.
With 20 minutes gone, the visitors had Darren McCormack sent off for serious foul play following his challenge on Scott Davidson.
However, East Fife moved into the lead on 51 minutes when Wallace picked the ball up on the edge of the area and drilled home an unstoppable shot.
Smith could have equalised in the final minute but again cleared the crossbar.
