Wolves goalkeeper Dorus de Vries accepts his "season might be over" after their FA Cup exit.

All of the 31-year-old's four appearances this season have come in cup competitions, including Wednesday's 1-0 defeat by Birmingham City.

"I'm really disappointed. My season might be over. I was looking forward to a good cup run," he told BBC WM.

"In the Carling Cup we unfortunately got a game with Manchester City, but there were chances in the FA Cup."

De Vries was an integral part of Swansea's successful season in 2010-11 when they won the Championship play-off final to get into the Premier League.

But since his move to Molineux in the summer he has had to be patient with Wayne Hennessey the number one.

"He's been great and it's my job to try and be supportive," De Vries said.

"He's been very strong and he's a good lad and we keep each other strong. There's only one thing and that's staying in the Premier League."
