Doncaster Rovers manager Dean Saunders fears midfielder James Coppinger will be out for the rest of the season with a broken cheekbone.
The 31-year-old sustained the injury in a clash with Bristol City midfielder Yannick Bolasie in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Ashton Gate.
Saunders told BBC Radio Sheffield: "He's fractured his cheekbone and it's an absolutely outrageous head butt.
"It's right in front of me and the referee's not even spoken to the lad."
