Fit-again defender Tom Parkes says he would love to extend his loan stay at League Two side Burton Albion when the deal ends at the end of January.
Parkes, 20, joined the Brewers from Leicester at the start of the season.
But he fractured his ankle in August and only returned to action in the 1-1 draw against Bradford on Saturday.
"I want to stay. I like being at Burton - it's a great club. We are pushing on and I want to be a part of that," the 20-year-old told BBC Radio Derby.
"Hopefully the manager [Paul Peschisolido] will turn around to me and say he wants to keep me and I can stay until the end of the season.
"I want to stay, get games for Burton and help them get in the play-offs."
