Wigan Athletic have completed the signing of Birmingham City's Chile international winger Jean Beausejour.
The 27-year-old, who has made 44 appearances for Blues since joining from Mexican side Club America, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez said: "His dynamism, technical ability and tactical concepts will bring a different dimension into our squad."
Beausejour arrived at St Andrew's in August 2010 for a reported £3m.
He previously attracted the interest of Latics boss Roberto Martinez in the summer, but no deal was struck.
"He is ready to bring his own experience and his energy into the fantastic challenge that as a football club we're facing in the next 16 games of the season," added Martinez.
Beausejour, who has played 43 times for Chile and scored against Honduras in the 2010 World Cup, said: "Roberto told me about the plans he has for the club and I am really excited to join and meet my team-mates.
"We have a really tough end of the season, but I am really looking forward to the challenge ahead.
"I want to thank all the supporters at Birmingham. Now I have to concentrate on getting in the team and doing my best for Wigan Athletic."
Martinez had confirmed on Saturday that he was looking to add to his squad before the transfer window closed at the end of the month.
