Leicester City have parted company with Michael Ball after a mutual agreement to cancel the ex-Everton, Rangers and Manchester City full-back's contract.
The 32-year-old once-capped former England international was signed by Sven-Goran Eriksson for the Foxes on a one-year deal last summer.
But he made just three appearances for Leicester - all in the Carling Cup.
And he never played a home game, his three starts all coming away from the King Power Stadium.
Ball, who had also played for Eriksson at Manchester City, had been without a club since leaving Eastlands in 2009.
