Jack Boyle hat-trick helps Scots to win over St Paul's


Jack Boyle hit a hat-trick as Premiership leaders Jersey Scottish beat reigning champions St Paul's 5-3 to stay 10 points clear.

James O'Haire put Scots ahead before Boyle's penalty doubled the lead.

A Steve McCarter own goal and a Mark Lucas free-kick pulled St Paul's level before Boyle put Scottish back ahead.

He completed his hat-trick early in the second half with substitute Danny Flynn sealing the win before JP Martyn netted a late consolation in stoppage time.

Meanwhile Stewart Daynes grabbed a hat-trick to help St Peter stay in second spot with a 4-2 win at third-placed Jersey Wanderers.

Elsewhere Rozel Rovers moved into mid-table with a 2-1 win over struggling Trinity, while First Tower United stay bottom after a 3-0 home defeat to Grouville.
