Derry City defender Daniel Lafferty is being linked with a £200,000 move to English Championship side Burnley after going on trial with the club.
Northern Ireland Under-21 international Lafferty had spells with Celtic and Ayr United before returning to his home town club in 2010.
Derry City manager Declan Devine said on Wednesday that it "looks like he will be moving on".
Watford are also thought to have expressed interest in the left-back.
Lafferty had a trial with Brighton last month and was also scheduled to spend time at Derby County in November before that was cut short by a minor hamstring injury.
Last year his impressive form for Derry led to his inclusion in the Airtricity League side which played against Celtic in July.
