Tranmere have signed Stoke City striker Ryan Brunt on a one-month loan deal.
The 18-year-old joins Rovers after a short loan spell with Blue Square Bet Premier side Luton Town.
"He a decent size as he's about six foot one, he's quick and Stoke think very highly of him," Rovers manager Les Parry told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"They've sent him here to get a feel for first-team football and to be around a different club. Hopefully he'll be able to do something for us."
Parry added: "It was always my aim and it's still my aim to bring in an established striker. Someone who can come in and has a record of scoring goals.
"I've put offers in to two Championship clubs to bring in two players, we can't afford both, but hopefully one of them will come in."
