Derby County manager Nigel Clough says striker Chris Maguire could leave on loan in the January transfer window.
Maguire, 23, has only played eight games this season after joining from Aberdeen in the summer, with his last appearance coming in November.
Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "We'll see how we are for bodies. If we have lots of options up front it's a possibility.
"He wants to get some football as well. He's been used to playing in the last couple of seasons."
Injury-prone striker Nathan Tyson is still ruled out and Tomasz Cywka has joined Reading, but Clough does have Steven Davies nearing full fitness.
Clough added: "We will see how we are in the next week or two and we can always do an emergency loan."
