Left-back Steven Kinniburgh has left Oxford United after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
Kinniburgh, 22, joined United on loan from Rangers in 2009, making 12 starts in the club's promotion season.
He then joined the U's on a permanent basis at the start of the 2010-11 season and made a further 15 starts.
"Oxford are a great club and I have really enjoyed my stay but I want to play games and it is time to move on," Kinniburgh told the club website.
Kinniburgh had a loan spell at Cambridge United earlier this season but found first-team opportunities limited when he returned to the Kassam Stadium, with the last of his three appearances this season away at Sheffield United in the FA Cup.
"It is just one of those things," he added.
"The fans have been great as well and I wish them and the club every success."
