Forest Green have signed midfielder Michael Pook on a free transfer and are poised to add striker Tommy Wright.
Pook, 26, was released by Cheltenham in the summer and has been training with Rovers for the last three months while playing for Maidenhead.
He has joined the Blue Square Bet Premier outfit on a permanent contract until the end of the season.
Wright, 27, who is undergoing a medical, joined Luton in October but left this week making just one start.
Forest Green become his 11th senior club in a career that takes in spells at Leicester, Darlington and Aberdeen.
"We need more striking power and he's a big strong centre forward who should help us find the back of the net more," boss David Hockaday told the club website.
Pook has amassed 141 starts in the Football League across spells with Swindon and Cheltenham.
