Northampton Town midfielder Luke Guttridge says his side must put a run of good results together quickly.

The Cobblers, who lost 1-0 to Torquay on Saturday are bottom of League Two having taken just five points in nine games under Aidy Boothroyd.

Guttridge told BBC Radio Northampton: "We've had plenty of chances [against Torquay] and we need to start putting them away and cut out the silly errors.

"Time is running out. We have three massive games and we need to win them."

'Silly errors' must go - Guttridge

The Cobblers next host Macclesfield before travelling to fellow strugglers Dagenham & Redbridge and then welcoming AFC Wimbledon to Sixfields.

Guttridge, 29, re-joined Northampton on an 18-month contract after a year and a half at Aldershot.

"I was very keen to return," he said. "I had plenty of options, but as soon as I knew Northampton were interested, I wasn't worried where we were in the league.

"I believe we will be in League Two next year. Once we win one or two games, we'll get on a run and be hard to stop."
