North one point away from Priaulx League title

Football: North celebrate winning the Senior County Division One

North are all but assured of winning their 30th Guernsey Priaulx League title after crushing nearest rivals Belgrave Wanderers 5-0 at the Track.

Simon Tostevin, Stuart Roussel, Marc Rihoy, Nigel Hutton and Kieron Mahon scored to put them 12 points clear with three games to go.

Sylvans moved up to second place after a 4-1 win over bottom side Rangers.

Elsewhere reigning champions St Martin's stayed fourth after they beat Vale Rec 1-0 at the Corbet Field.

The only way North cannot be crowned champions is if they lose their remaining three games while Sylvans win the four matches they have left and overturn a goal difference of plus 42.

North will win the title if they can beat Vale Rec at Northfield on Friday night.
