Goals from Will Hoskins, Ched Evans and Kevin McDonald saw Sheffield United beat Wycombe and move up to third in League One.
Debutant substitute Hoskins put Blades ahead after the break, slotting Michael Doyle's deflected cross from six yards.
Evans turned and fired in from close range to make it 2-0 after being set up by Lecsinel Jean-Francois.
McDonald completed the scoring with a deflected shot as the Blades closed the gap on Sheffield Wednesday to a point.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"It was a very good, well-earned victory.
"I think it was a little frustrating at times, because of the system that Wycombe played. They got just everyone behind the ball and I wasn't too worried about them breaking out.
"So you have to have a level of patience and I though we showed that in abundance today.
"The first goal was always going to be critical and when we got that it was completely one way traffic after that."
