The Irish Premiership match between Dungannon Swifts and Coleraine was called off on Saturday afternoon because of a floodlight failure.

Several attempts were made to get the lights working and a decision was eventually taken at 1545 GMT, with the players on the pitch.

The lights had also failed during Tuesday night's match with Crusaders at the same venue.

Swifts vice-chairman Jarlath Faloon apologised to Coleraine fans.

"I understand the frustration of both home and away fans, but the situation was beyond the club's control," said Faloon.

"We had a contractor working on the lights on Wednesday and believed that the problem was fixed, but we encountered an entirely different problem on Saturday."
