Cambridge United's Michael Wylde happy with recovery

Cambridge United captain Michael Wylde thinks he is on course in his recovery from groin surgery.

The summer signing from Tamworth had the operation in early January after playing with the injury since the start of September.

"The physio seems happy with how it's all going," the 25-year-old defender told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

"It was four to six weeks from the operation [until my return] so hopefully we're on schedule."

But he added: "I haven't been been able to push it running-wise as much as I'd have liked because of the pitches so it's hard to judge just how far through we are."
