Derby County manager Nigel Clough is mulling over whether to try to extend Ryan Noble's loan deal from Sunderland.
The 19-year-old signed for a month in January but has made just one start and a total of two appearances.
His stint is due to end next week and, with Nathan Tyson and Callum Ball both fit and Steven Davies nearing a return, Clough may opt to let Noble leave.
"We'll have a chat with Sunderland, see what their plans are and if they need him back," Clough told BBC Radio Derby.
Tyson, Ball and Davies have all been sidelined with various injuries but are all now in contention and Theo Robinson is also close to a return after a calf injury.
