Scots close to Premiership title after rivals draw

Jersey Scottish are just two points away from claiming the Jersey Premiership title after St Peter and Grouville drew 2-2 on Saturday.

Neal Crowell put St Peter in front from close range, but the visitors hit back through Mick McParland.

Kevan Crowell headed in from a corner to give St Peter the lead again, but a late Scott Walsh volley made sure both sides took a point.

Scottish are now 15 points clear at the top of the table.

The day's other top-flight game in the island between First Tower United and Jersey Wanderers was postponed because of a frozen pitch.

Wanderers could still catch the Scots but would need to win all their remaining games and hope Scottish slip up in their final three matches.
