Brechin City 1-1 Airdrie United

Ten-man Brechin City held on in the final stages to earn a draw with Airdrie United.

Airdrie started the brighter and should have gone ahead in the third minute, but Sean Lynch dragged his close-range shot wide.

It was Brechin's top scorer that broke the deadlock as Paul McManus slotted home his 12th goal of the campaign from six yards.

The visitors pushed for the equaliser after the break and Jamie Stevenson should have done better than strike straight at Craig Nelson from the angle.

But Airdrie got their reward in the 72nd minute as Stevenson's near-post cross found Derek Holmes, who headed low past Nelson.

Craig Molloy was soon dismissed for a second yellow card but Airdrie could not convert their pressure into goals as they had to settle for a point.
