Crawley Town 1-1 Morecambe

Scott Neilson's second-half equaliser helped Crawley close the gap on the League Two promotion places to three points with a draw against Morecambe.

Crawley defender Kyle McFadzean hit the bar before Andrew Fleming's first-time shot into the roof of the net from 14 yards put the visitors ahead.

Danny Carlton missed a breakway chance to extend Morecambe's lead and was made to pay by Neilson's long-range drive.

Sanchez Watt came close to winning it for Crawley but shot wide.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Crawley Town assistant Paul Raynor told BBC Sussex:

"All we can do is try to eradicate the errors (from the draw against Morecambe) and move forward.

"It's a crucial three points to be had. We saw Shrewsbury put in a very creditable performance at Swindon. They were the better side by far for long periods of the game.

"They play with a good tempo, are well organised and have an extremely good manager. But we're not so bad ourselves."
