Swindon miles ahead of Hereford United - Jamie Pitman

Hereford United manager Jamie Pitman says there is a big gap between his side and League Two promotion hopefuls Swindon Town.

Pitman saw his side go down 2-1 to the Robins at Edgar Street on Saturday, their 11th home defeat of the season.

He told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "We are a small club and we are disappointed we have lost to Swindon.

"They are miles ahead of us, they have 10,000 people coming through the gate every week."

Pitman says he was pleased with the debut of Bryon Anthony, who joined Hereford from Bristol Rovers last week.

"It took him about 20 minutes to get into it but I thought he did really well once he did.

"And he nearly got a draw for us as well."

Meanwhile it has been confirmed that Michael Townsend will serve a two-match ban after being sent off at Aldershot last Tuesday.
