Falkirk 1-1 Dundee

Dundee's Carl Finnigan scores a late equaliser

Substitute Carl Finnigan netted a late equaliser against his former club to earn Dundee a draw at Falkirk.

In doing so, he denied the Bairns the chance to pull level with Ross County at the top of the First Division, although the Dingwall side, , have now played three games fewer.

Falkirk striker Farid El Alagui had a header blocked after five minutes before scoring his 23rd goal of the season just before the half-hour mark when he converted from close range.

Jamie McCluskey and Steven Milne both fired over from distance as Dundee searched for an equaliser.

After the break, Stewart Murdoch failed to test Rab Douglas in the Dark Blues goal while, at the other end, an excellent block from Michael McGovern prevented Finnigan from drawing Dundee level from six yards.

However, the visitors did claw their way back into the match when Finnigan eventually found the net from 12 yards three minutes from time to secure their fourth successive league draw.
