Brighton boss Gus Poyet undecided on best side

Gus Poyet

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet says he is still trying to find his best starting line-up.

The Uruguayan recently bolstered his squad with the loan signings of Gai Assulin and Abdul Razak.

Poyet told BBC Sussex: "I would like to find the best eleven in terms of defending, controlling the game, creating chances and scoring.

"At the moment it's not easy. There are plenty of options and there could be changes until we find it."

The 0-0 draw at Hull on Wednesday extended Brighton's unbeaten run in the Championship to eight games.

"If I get the right team, they perform well and keep on a good run, they're going to stay in," Poyet added.

Poyet looks to maintain consistency

"If I find it, unlucky for the rest [of the players]. There are lots of decisions, but I will try to make the right ones.

"It's important we find a group of players that will play most of the time from now until the end of the season.

"It will show where we stand."
