Montrose 2-3 Elgin City

Craig Gunn scored a hat-trick as Elgin City beat Montrose in Scottish Division Three.

The visitors went ahead after six minutes when Mark Nicolson's pass from the left set up Gunn to score.

Montrose's Martin Boyle struck the post before Terry Masson did find the net for the home side in the 29th minute.

But Elgin were back in front before half-time, Gunn sweeping the ball home on 42 minutes.

Boyle converted Steven McNalley's cross six minutes into the second half to level the scores again.

However, Gunn found the net once more with a tidy finish 20 minutes from time and that proved to be the winner.
