Tranmere goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams wants the club to draw on their early season form to pull away from the League One relegation zone.
Rovers lost just four of their opening 15 league matches this season, but have only one win in their last 18.
He told BBC Radio Merseyside: "People were afraid of playing us because we were so dangerous, but we still are."
Les Parry's side are just two points above the drop zone ahead of Saturday's match at Chesterfield.
Fon Williams added: "We had a incredible start to the season and it was unbelievable. We have to make sure we battle it out and get the points.
"Maybe the rub of the green hasn't gone our way sometimes but you make your own luck. So we're going to go out there on Saturday and do the same.
"It all starts on Saturday and it's a tough one at Chesterfield but we're going there to get the three points."
