Arbroath 2-2 East Fife

Arbroath threw away a two-goal lead for the second time in three days to again miss the chance to go top of Division Two after being held to a draw by 10-man East Fife.

The home side took only six minutes to strike when Collin Samuel crossed for Liam Caddis to slot into the bottom corner of the net from 12 yards.

And the lead was doubled in the 15th minute when Samuel crossed from the opposite side for Caddis to finish into the same corner - this time left-footed.

But the Fifers pulled one back against the run of play when Robert Sloan calmly converted Ryan Wallace's pass after 27 minutes.

The deficit was wiped out three minutes before half-time - Wallace crossing for Steven Hislop to power a header past Darren Hill to secure a point in Gordon Durie's first game in charge.
