Braintree stretched their unbeaten run to four games with a win over Gateshead in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Britt Assombalonga clinically curled an effort past Paul Farman for the opener in the early exchanges.
Ben Wright poked home at the near post almost immediately, before Assombalonga got his second with spectacular volley to give the Iron a three-goal lead.
Jamie Chandler scored a consolation effort from 25 yards late on, but that was the end of Gateshead's goal threat.
