St Brelade keep Championship lead despite 4-0 defeat


St Brelade are six points clear at the top of Jersey's Championship despite losing 4-0 against Portuguese Club on Saturday as other title hopefuls drew.

Jason de Andrade scored twice for Portuguese as they moved up to sixth position in the league table.

Second-placed St Lawrence failed to capitalise on St Brelade's loss as they drew 1-1 at Jersey Nomads, while St Martin drew 4-4 with Beeches.

Second bottom Magpies moved to within two points of St John after a 3-0 win.

Elsewhere, St Clement cruised to a 4-1 win over bottom side Sporting Academics.
