Curtis Allen netted with 13 minutes left to give the Bannsiders victory over the Crues at the Showgrounds.
Coleraine defender David Ogilby headed against the bar and Stephen Lowry shot wide while Jordan Owens and David Rainey went close for the visitors.
Allen supplied the finish deep into the second half after Ogilby headed down from a corner.
Crusaders should have equalised within a minute but Timmy Adamson squandered an excellent chance.
