Grouville take a point from champions Jersey Scottish

Champions Jersey Scottish failed to pick up a win for just the third time this season as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Grouville in the Premiership.

Jack Boyle gave the Scots the lead after 34 minutes before former island players Luc Le Miere equalised 25 minutes from full time.

It means Scottish end their 16-game league programme with just two draws and one defeat.

They now prepare for next month's Upton against Guernsey champions North.

Elsewhere, Trinity's hopes of avoiding relegation got a welcome boost as they beat high-flying Jersey Wanderers 3-2 at the Hockey Club.

Craig Russell's hat-trick helped St Paul's to a 5-1 win over relegated First Tower, while St Peter and Rozel Rovers stay fifth and sixth respectively after their meeting ended 2-2, with Aaron Parkinson grabbing a last minute equaliser for St Peter.
