Hartlepool picked up a smash-and-grab win at Yeovil after the hosts failed to convert a number of chances.
Andy Williams fired over with just the keeper to beat early on, before Lawson D'Ath was foiled by Scott Flinders.
Williams forced Flinders into a fine save, but the striker was otherwise wasteful with his finishing and the Glovers were made to pay.
Jonathan Grounds could not fully clear his lines and Ryan Noble reacted quickest to lash in the decisive goal.
