Partick Thistle thrashed Queen of the South to leave their opponents deep in First Division relegation trouble

Kris Doolan sent the visitors on the way to their first away win since December when he fired past goalkeeper Lee Robinson from the edge of the area on 17 minutes.

Stephen O'Donnell doubled the lead three minutes before half-time as he rifled his shot into the roof of the net.

Doolan grabbed his second in the 64th minute after collecting David Rowson's pass in the penalty area for his 12th goal of the season.

Chris Erskine made it four in the 69th minute, finishing off O'Donnell's left-wing cross from 12 yards.

Substitute Christie Elliot completed the rout five minutes before the end as he finished clinically from inside the box.
