A commanding first-half display helped East Fife and new boss Gordon Durie to an emphatic victory over Dumbarton.
Ryan Wallace gave East Fife the lead inside three minutes when he headed home Robert Sloan's right-wing corner.
Two goals in two minutes then effectively put the game beyond Dumbarton's reach. First, Sons goalkeeper Stephen Grindlay diverted the ball into his own net before Wallace pounced again just 60 seconds later to grab his second with a right-footed finish from Scott Dalziel's knockdown.
The visitors added gloss to the scoreline soon after the break when striker Dalziel got on the scoresheet himself, firing home from inside the area to ensure there was no way back for Alan Adamson's promotion chasers.
